
Rinata Kazak
Rinata Kazak, Ph.D., Lecturer at Linköping University (Sweden). Dr. Kazak currently works on the relationship between sustainable development and the complex system of environmental protection, legislation and policy in the context of the Russian war against Ukraine. As a member of Linköping University and the Centre for Climate Science and Policy Research (CSPR), Dr. Rinata Kazak explores the ecocide, as consequences of war and its criminalization as a path for green societal transformations toward a secure and equitable climate future.
Outside of Swedish affiliations, Rinata Kazak is a member Ukrainian Science Diaspora under the aegis of Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine, Association of International Educational and Scientific Cooperation (Ukraine), The Sabin Center’s Peer Review Network of Climate Litigation (the USA), Hromada (Norway), etc.
Generally, her research focuses on the development of environmental protection within the legal nexus. Specifically, Dr.Kazak examines how legal norms and policies are constructed and evolve over time within the broader context of climate change
