Ms. Hanin Ghaddar
Senior Fellow at The Washington Institute's Program on Arab Politics
Ms. Ghaddar is a Senior Fellow at The Washington Institute's Program on Arab Politics. She was the long-time managing editor of Lebanon's NOW news website, where she wrote commentary and analysis on Lebanese and regional politics, Syria, and Iran. She is a regular contributor to a number of publications, including the New York Times, Foreign Policy, and The Washington Post. She is a former Public Policy Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Centre for Scholars. She also wrote for Assafir, Annahar, and the pan-Arab Al-Hayat newspaper. She was a researcher for the SURF-Arab States Program at the United Nations Development Program between 2002 and 2004. She holds a bachelor's degree in English literature and a Master's in Middle Eastern studies, both from the American University in Beirut.
