Johnny Assaf is a Consultant on the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) and Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) Programmes at the Arab Reform Initiative.

He has led projects and programs advancing the implementation of key international frameworks, including on the WPS and YPS frameworks and on broader Security Sector Reform (SSR) efforts across conflict-affected regions such as East and West Africa and the MENA region. He has led advocacy and field engagements and has also developed policy recommendations on Security Sector Reform and Defense Sector Reform at the United Nations. He holds a Master’s degree in International Security from SciencesPo Paris and is fluent in English, Arabic and French.
