Stavros Evdokimos Pantazopoulos

Dr. Stavros-Evdokimos Pantazopoulos is a Teaching Fellow at the NKUA School of Law and a visiting researcher with the Erik Castrén Institute, University of Helsinki. He is also a Senior Research Fellow at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) and a Fellow at the AthensPIL. He is a founding member of the Environmental Peacebuilding Association and a member of the World Commission on Environmental Law.

Previously, Stavros was a postdoctoral researcher with the Toxic Crimes Project at the University of Helsinki, and a researcher at the T.M.C. Asser Institute. He has also served as Legal and Policy Analyst of the Conflict and Environment Observatory, a UK-based NGO raising awareness of the environmental impacts of armed conflict.

He obtained his Ph.D degree in international law from the EUI. His research focuses on the legal aspects of environmental protection during and after armed conflict. He has published in the fields of international humanitarian law, international environmental law, international cultural heritage law, and autonomous weapons systems.
